Dear Participant
We are most grateful to you all for coming along to participate in our inaugural Castlehackett 8k on Sunday 07 June 2015. The skies remained blue and with 350 registrations, 277 race finishers, 40+ sponsors and 50+ donations it really broke all records for an inaugural mass participation sporting event not even at a regional level but at a larger national level! It was really you who created the special atmosphere on the day. We thank you once again most sincerely for making everybody’s day so memorable. Well done! A special mention must be given to all of our sponsors; their generosity ensured that we were able to give something back to you on the day. A full list of our sponsors names can be viewed on our Sponsors page. Our dedicated Castlehackett 8k Facebook page has attracted massive interest from all corners of the world! We’d ask you to take the time to find, share and like this page in the coming weeks. The photographs taken by our official sports photographer on the day Mr Jimmy Mc Elroy are simply amazing. These are all available to view on our dedicated Facebook page. We thank Jimmy for his professionalism and all of his hard work on the day.
We will have a digital recording with music of the race available on You Tube shortly. We are currently editing the footage. Watch this space!
Finally the Olympic Games may well be taking place in Brazil next year but Castlehackett 8k 2016 is where the real action will take place! We are already planning the event and we look forward to having you, your family and friends back to join us again. We don’t want you to miss it. Keep up all the running, jogging and walking in the mean time. Castlehackett 8k 2016 will break all records once again.
